ENG: World Lit Anthology Project (Braithwaite): Home

Course Assignment

You are part of an editorial team that will publish a World Literature Anthology for high school students. Your task is to choose a story from an area other than the US or Europe and write an introduction to the story that explains why it should be included in the anthology. Once the anthology is created, we will use it for a short story unit during the beginning of the spring semester. Questions to consider in your introduction: Why this story? Why this author? What should readers expect to get out of this story? How does this story expand our global perspectives?

Remember that the story needs to have been published since 2000, even if it refers to an earlier time.
