In your last five weeks of this course, you will be creating a Contemporary World Literature anthology, based on a course-related theme of your choosing. Your anthology should include an introduction, eight texts (of which five will be short fiction), and a brief commentary on each text. This website offers resources to expose you to short fiction that you'll need to consult. Questions to consider in your introduction: Why this story? Why this author? What should readers expect to get out of this story? How does this story expand our global perspectives?
Remember that the story needs to have been published since 2000, even if it refers to an earlier time.
Helpful hints: check the index of an anthology to see when each story was first published.
