There are many collections of primary sources in Cox Library. The key to finding them is phrasing your search very carefully. You may not be able to find primary sources for specific people or incidents; in that case, you will have to BROADEN your search.

For example, if you were researching for primary sources about the PONY EXPRESS, you could try searching WESTERN UNITED STATES SOURCES. Adding sources to the search will look for primary sources.

• Digital Public Library of America: primary source sets
  Wide range world history sources from ancient, medieval and modern time periods. The sets use letters, photographs, posters, oral histories, video clips, sheet music, and more.
• The Avalon Project
  From Yale Law School-documents covering law, history and diplomacy from ancient times through the 21st century.
