We present this guide as a resource for looking at the issue of gun violence: what the legal aspects are,
how politically charged the debate is, what action you can take to help victims, and how you can get involved and educated about this critical issue.  

Gun-related violence is violence committed with the use of a gun.

Gun-related violence may or may not be considered criminal.

Criminal violence includes homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, and suicide, or attempted suicide, depending on jurisdiction.

In the United States the dilemma is how to reconcile upholding the 2nd amendment of our constitution while at the same time ensuring the safety of our citizens.

The Second Amendment

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
