While there are many citation managers available online (some free of charge), Milton Academy subscribes to NoodleTools*, making it available to all students and faculty.
- Why use a citation manager?
- Using a citation manager will ensure that citations and, subsequently, bibliographies include all required information and are formatted correctly.
- Careful notetaking is central to avoiding plagiarism, using Noodletools' notecard feature can help in accurately recording whether a specific idea is a direct quotation, paraphrase/summary.
- Can other citation managers be used?
- If a different citation manager is used students must accept all responsibility for accuracy.
Note: Students may not be held responsible if a teacher requires or permits the use of other citation managers
