The contest is open to all Middle School students!Eligible Books: All submissions must be based on a book selected from the school's official DEIJ Bookshelf, clearly explain its connection to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, or Justice (DEIJ) themes and be your original work.
Entry Limit: You may submit entries for multiple books, but only one entry per book. There are three categories for reviews, described in the boxes below.
Submissions are due December 15, 2025.

Length: 200–300 words
Focus: Must summarize the book's impact and clearly explain its connection to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, or Justice (DEIJ) themes.
Format: Must be typed and clearly include the book's title and author.
Instructions to submit: Email your review to Ms. V (rebecca_veira@milton.edu)
Length: 30–60 seconds long
Originality: Must use original footage, animation, or voiceovers.
Content: Content: Must clearly show or mention the book's title/author, include a strong call-to-action (e.g., "Read this book now!") and connect to DEIJ themes. All content must reflect original work and effort.
Format: Submit as a video file (e.g., MP4, MOV).
Instructions to submit: Send the video file to Ms. V (rebecca_veira@milton.edu).
Medium: Any visual art form is welcome (drawing, painting, digital art, photography, sculpture, etc.).
Statement: Must be submitted with a 100-word Artist Statement that explains the connection between the artwork, the chosen book, and its DEIJ themes.
Instructions to submit: If physical art, submit a high-quality picture to Ms. V (rebecca_veira@milton.edu).
