When choosing a career, your background education may matter. For example, teachers usually have a subject masters and a Masters in Education, while lawyers have not only a law degree but have passed the bar exam. On the other hand, artists don't need to have gone to college to pursue their career as a singer, actor, musician, etc.. Some people get degrees in one subject (political science/pre-law) and end up as school librarians.
