The abstract should be a single paragraph that serves as a synopsis of your entire experiment. This paragraph should “stand alone” – it should provide the reader with enough information that they know whether or not your work is (i) of interest to them; or (ii) applicable for their own research as background information.

This paragraph should contain:
- The goal of your study
- A brief and general synopsis of what you did and how you did it (basic procedure)
- What did you find (what were the key results)
- What is your interpretation of the data
