How to Complete Station 1

Welcome to Station 1! You should complete this station before moving on to any of the others. On this page, you will find:

  • Activity 1A:  A virtual tour of the different library spaces that are available to you
  • Activity 1B: A guided exploration of the Upper School Digital Portal

Please review all the information on this page and complete the guided activity.

When you are finished, fill out the Google Form for Station 1 to let your teacher know you completed the module.

Activity 1A: Getting around the Library

Complete the Virtual Library Guide

Complete the In-Library "treasure map"

1. Grab a blank copy of the map from the box next to the orientation kiosk. Can't find them? Click the map icon below to print a copy.

2. Stop by the librarians' desks to get some stickers

Activity 1B: Getting around the Library Website

Complete the tour of the US Portal

  1. Open Google form: Activity 1B Exit Token. You'll need your computer to complete the tasks.
  2. Follow the directions and submit your answers

  1. Open the US Digital Portal
    The US Digital Portal is the library homepage for students, faculty and staff.  
  2. Bookmark the page in your browser.
     
  3. Find the link to our digital publications
    Specific news/current events publications that can be accessed via their up-to-date websites. 
  4. Choose at least one of the publications to make a subscription.
     
  5. Use the Portal to find out about library spaces and staff.
    You should be able to find the following:
  • Contact Information
  • Library Hours
  •  Library rules and expectations
  • how to reserve the Cafferty Room
