DIY How To: I am looking for a newspaper article

Search for Newspaper Articles

Newspapers cover current events and contain both descriptive news stories and editorials on current events. Newspaper articles are reported by professional journalists who do considerable research and interview the people involved for each story. News reports are fact-checked for accuracy by editorial staff.

Newspapers provide:

  • Coverage of current events
  • Eyewitness accounts of an event
  • In-depth coverage of local issues
  • The public's reaction to a specific event or issue

You have access to many newspapers primarily through the Cox Library databases.  Simply click on the Current Events/News tab to access them.

However, The New York Times is available online at www.nytimes.com.  Use the Google log in and select your Milton email.*

*Note, New York Times articles from before 1980 cannot be accessed this way. Instead use the Historic New York Times database.
